KR Physiotherapy

Sports Injury Specialist

What is Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function to as near normal as possible when someone is affected by injury, illness or by developmental or other disability.

What to expect

Your physiotherapy assessment is usually in 2 parts - a detailed discussion of your injury and then the physical examination.

1) The initial discussion - this is to enable the physiotherapist to understand the history of your injury, how it affects your life and activities and the types of stresses and strains your injury is under in your day to day life. we will also ask about your medical history and what medication you are currently taking

2) The physical examination - this is where we systematically test the different tissues and look at your movement, strength, balance and muscle length amongst many other things to track down where your injury is coming from.
We will start your treatment as part of your first appointment.
