KR Physiotherapy

Sports Injury Specialist

Since graduating from Plymouth University Kiah has worked with many different clients ranging from Professional sporting personnel, to elite athletes, to young keen amateurs, to non-sporting personnel.

Kiah is currently Plymouth Raiders Basketball teams Physiotherapist working with a professional team day in and out. Other experiences include:

-Providing physiotherapy for Plymouth Universitys sporting scholars- these include elite athletes in a wide range of sports from swimmers to sailors, triathletes, fencers and many more.

-Physiotherapist for Plymouth Athletics club- seeing many different aged athletes at different stages of their athletics careers.

-Worked at a private practice seeing GP referrals, insurance patients, work related injuries and seeing patients with chronic long term conditions.

As displayed above Kiah is involved in treating elite/high level athletes from many different sports, often with pressured timescales for recovery. Understanding the competitive athlete’s outlook and the specific issues around their rehabilitation process.

But this doesn’t mean Kiah can’t help you if you aren’t a pro, but it does mean that you will benefit from her experience of dealing with such people and her expertise in delivering high level rehabilitation.

Kiah herself is a dedicated athlete competing at a national standard and has had many injuries herself; so she has experienced how patients feel after losing their physical capability, understanding the frustration and personal stress that occurs within sport. When sportsmen/women return to their pre-injury status and achieve their physical potential it gives her great personal satisfaction.

Kiah is registered with both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health Care Professions Council, and carried out further postgraduate courses and qualifications: including sports massage, acupuncture, spinal manipulation, taping, strength and conditioning and nutrition courses.
